Attachments and their limits
Add files to a reply or new message, the size and number limits, and the files ZevInbox will not send.

Add a file
In a reply or a new message, do any of these:
Select Attach files (the paperclip) and choose one or more files.
Drag files onto the message. It says Drop files to attach.
Paste an image, for example a screenshot. It is named Pasted image with the time.
Each file shows under your message while it uploads. Send says Uploading… and waits until every file is in.
If a file does not upload, it says Didn't upload. Select retry on the file, or remove it. A message cannot be sent while a file has not uploaded.
To remove a file, select the cross on it.
The limits
Limit | |
|---|---|
One file | 25 MB at most |
All files on one message | 25 MB together |
Number of files | 25 per message |
These match what Gmail and Outlook accept, so a message you send can be received.
Files ZevInbox will not send
To protect your customers, these are refused, with the reason:
Kind | Examples |
|---|---|
Programs and scripts |
|
Office files with macros |
|
Password-protected archives | A |
Empty files | A file of 0 bytes |
ZevInbox checks what a file really is, not only its name, so renaming a file does not get it through.
Forwarding
A forward carries the original message's attachments. Remove any you do not want to pass on before you send. They count towards the same limits.
Attachments you receive
Files a customer sends are listed under their message. Select an image to view it, or any other file to download it.
If a message was quarantined because of a dangerous attachment, the file shows as Blocked and cannot be opened. See Quarantine: review, release or request release.
On your phone
In the ZevInbox app, use Attach a file in the reply box. The same limits apply.
