Undo send
Take a message back within 10 seconds of sending it, and what the delivery line under a sent message means.
Updated 1 min read
Every message waits 10 seconds before it leaves. Until then you can take it back.
Take a message back
Right after you send, ZevInbox shows Sending your reply… (or Sending your message… for a new one) with Undo. The message in the thread also says Sending… with Undo and the seconds left.
Select Undo.
The message leaves the thread and comes back where you wrote it, with its text and recipients, ready to change or send again.
If the 10 seconds are up, ZevInbox says Too late to undo. The message is already on its way.
Undo is also offered after Send and archive, after Send now on a scheduled message, and in the ZevInbox app on your phone.
After it is sent
The line under a message you sent shows how it went:
Line | Meaning |
|---|---|
Sending… | Waiting out its 10 seconds, or on its way. |
Sent | It left ZevInbox. |
Delivered | The recipient's mail server accepted it. |
Bounced | It could not be delivered. The reason follows. |
Marked as spam by the recipient | They reported it as spam. |
Not sent | ZevInbox could not send it. The reason follows. |
If a send fails before it leaves, ZevInbox says Not sent. Your reply is back in the box. and shows why in the reply box.
