Choose how much ZevInbox handles

Pick one when you add the domain, and change it later if you need to.

  • Full mailbox. ZevInbox receives and sends all email for the domain, and you can create any address.
  • Keep your current provider. forward shared addresses like support@ to ZevInbox. Replies still go out from your domain.

Each one has a copy button for its name and value. Your existing SPF record is extended, never replaced.

Ownership
TXT _zevinbox-verify

Proves the domain is yours.

DKIM
TXT zevmail._domainkey

Signs the mail you send.

SPF

Allows ZevInbox to send for you. Warns if the record passes ten lookups.

Recommended. Aligns bounces with your domain.

Checked on day one, and every day after

Verified domains are checked again every six hours. If a record breaks, you are told, and you have 72 hours to fix it before sending stops.

    Checked every minute at first, then less often.

  2. Verifying

    Ownership is proved. The rest are being checked.

  3. Verified

    Sending and receiving work. Rechecked every six hours.

  4. Needs attention

    A record broke. Rechecked every 15 minutes during the grace period.

Every inbox also has a ZevInbox address that always works.

It receives mail while your DNS is still being set up, and it is where forwarded mail goes when you keep your current provider. New conversations go out from your own domain once it is verified.
