How ZevInbox is organized

Organizations, teams and inboxes, and how they fit together.

Updated 1 min read

ZevInbox has three building blocks. Once you know them, the rest of the app makes sense.

Organization

Your organization is your business in ZevInbox. It holds your people, your domain, your teams and the inboxes they share, and it is what you pay for.

You can belong to more than one organization, for example your own business and a client's. Switch between them from the organization name in the top left.

Teams

A team is a group of people who work together, like Customer care or Sales. Each team has the inboxes it answers.

Inside a team, a person is either a Lead or a Member. A team lead can manage the members of their own team.

Inboxes

An inbox is one shared address, like support@ or orders@. Every email sent to that address becomes a conversation in the inbox, and everyone on its teams sees the same conversations.

An inbox can belong to more than one team. In the sidebar, a shared inbox shows a link icon and the names of the teams that share it.

Who sees what

  • Members see the inboxes of the teams they belong to.

  • Owners and admins see every inbox in the organization, and manage people, teams and inboxes.
