They arrive in the app as they happen, with All and Unread tabs and Mark all read. ## Mail you can trust Mail sent from your own domain, and incoming mail checked before anyone opens it. ### Custom domain (https://www.zevinbox.com/features/custom-domain) **Your team answers from your own domain.** Connect the domain you already have. ZevInbox lists each DNS record to add, checks them for you, and keeps checking after they pass. ### Choose how much ZevInbox handles Pick one when you add the domain, and change it later if you need to. - Full mailbox: ZevInbox receives and sends all email for the domain, and you can create any address. - Keep your current provider: forward shared addresses like support@ to ZevInbox. Replies still go out from your domain. ### The records, and what each is for Each one has a copy button for its name and value. Your existing SPF record is extended, never replaced. - Ownership: Proves the domain is yours. (TXT _zevinbox-verify) - DKIM: Signs the mail you send. If a record breaks, you are told, and you have 72 hours to fix it before sending stops. - Waiting for DNS: Checked every minute at first, then less often. - Verifying: Ownership is proved. The rest are being checked. - Verified: Sending and receiving work. Rechecked every six hours. - Needs attention: A record broke. Rechecked every 15 minutes during the grace period. New conversations go out from your own domain once it is verified. ### Spam and phishing (https://www.zevinbox.com/features/spam-and-phishing) **Dangerous mail is held back before anyone opens it.** Every message is scanned for spam, phishing and viruses on the way in. Possible spam goes to its own folder. Anything dangerous is quarantined. ### Quarantine withholds the whole message A virus, a phishing attempt, a message pretending to be from your own domain, or a dangerous attachment. Spam is out of every view, and nobody is notified about it. Mark something Not spam and trust its sender, or mark it as spam and block the sender or their whole domain. Spam is deleted after 30 days. ### What every message is checked for - Viruses: Scanned with ClamAV before the message reaches an inbox. - Phishing: Known phishing patterns and links. - Your own domain: Mail that claims to be from your verified domain but fails DMARC. - Attachments: Programs and scripts such as .exe, .js and .msi, disk images, Office files with macros, and password protected ZIP files. - Sender checks: SPF, DKIM, DMARC and ARC, recorded on every message. - Remote images: Hidden until you choose Show images. ### Verified senders (https://www.zevinbox.com/features/verified-senders) **See who really sent it.** ZevInbox checks each sender and marks the ones it can verify. A mark means the sender proved who they are. It is not an endorsement. - From Zevop: Mail from Zevop itself, such as your account emails. Open the mark to see that it was sent by Zevop. - Verified by ZevSend or ZevCampaign: The sender sends through a Zevop platform that checked who they are. The mark is about identity, not an endorsement. - Trusted by your team: Your admins chose to trust this sender. The mark shows your organization’s name. - Failed verification: A message that fails sender verification gets a warning above it: be careful with links and requests for payment. ### How each mark is earned Open any mark in a message to see what was checked. - Verified brand: What it takes: The sender’s domain publishes a certified brand logo (BIMI) and passes DMARC under an enforcing policy. - From Zevop: What it takes: Signed by Zevop’s own domain and aligned with DMARC. Only Zevop’s own mail gets it. - Verified by ZevSend or ZevCampaign: What it takes: Sent through a Zevop platform that checked who the sender is, from an account in good standing. - Trusted by your team: What it takes: Your admins chose to trust this sender, and the message passes DMARC. Avatars are private. Sender logos and avatars are fetched by ZevInbox’s servers, not your browser, then re-encoded and served from ZevInbox. Pending invitations stay listed until they are accepted, and you can revoke one at any time. Nothing is deleted by accident. Deleting an organization means typing its name, and it can be restored for 30 days. Ownership can be handed to an admin. ## Security (https://www.zevinbox.com/security) ### Where mail is stored - In the EU: Messages and attachments are stored in Cloudflare R2 under its EU jurisdiction. - Sent from the EU: Outgoing mail is sent through Amazon SES in Ireland. - How long: The raw copy of each incoming message is kept for 30 days. The conversation keeps the message for as long as the conversation exists. Spam is deleted after 30 days. ### How incoming mail is checked - Our own mail servers: Mail for your domain arrives at Zevop’s own MX servers, not a third party’s. - Scanned before delivery: Every message is checked for spam and phishing, scanned for viruses with ClamAV, and checked for dangerous attachments. - Sender checks: SPF, DKIM, DMARC and ARC results are recorded on every message and used for the verified sender marks. - Quarantine: Dangerous mail is withheld from everyone. Only an owner or admin can release it, and a file with a virus is never released. ### When you read mail - Sanitised HTML: Every HTML email is sanitised before it is shown, so scripts in an email never run. - Remote images: Hidden until you choose Show images, so a tracking pixel does not fire when you open a message. - Private avatars: Sender logos and avatars are fetched by ZevInbox’s servers and re-encoded, never loaded by your browser from the sender. ### Who can get in - Sign in with your Zevop account: There is no separate ZevInbox password. You sign in through ZevID, Zevop’s account service, which supports two-step verification with an authenticator app or SMS. - Roles: Members see only the inboxes their teams use. Owners and admins manage people, teams, inboxes and domains. - A record of what happened: Every conversation has an activity log of assignments, snoozes, tags and moves. ### Your domain and your organization - Signing keys: Your domain’s DKIM private key is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it is stored. - Ongoing checks: Verified domains are checked again every six hours, and you are told if a record breaks. - Deleting: Only an owner can delete an organization. The count resets at the start of each calendar month. ### Does incoming mail count toward a limit? No. Only outgoing mail is counted.
